Basics

What is a FIBC bulk bag?

A FIBC (flexible intermediate bulk container) is a large woven polypropylene bag used to store and move dry, flowable products like grain, sand, powders and pellets. They're also called bulk bags, super sacks, tote bags or jumbo bags, and typically hold 500–2,000 kg (1,100–4,400 lb).

What's the difference between U-panel, circular and baffle bags?

U-panel bags are made from panels sewn together and are a dependable general-purpose option. Circular (tubular) bags are woven as a seamless tube, which improves sift resistance for fine powders. Baffle (Q) bags have internal fabric panels that keep the bag square when full, so they stack better and fit up to 30% more product in a trailer or warehouse.

What do SWL and safety factor mean?

SWL (safe working load) is the maximum weight the bag is rated to carry. The safety factor is how far beyond the SWL the bag held in testing: 5:1 for single-trip bags and 6:1 for multi-trip bags. For example, a 1,000 kg bag rated 5:1 is built to withstand 5,000 kg in a test.

What are Type A, B and C bags?

These describe static protection. Type A has none and is for non-flammable products. Type B uses low-breakdown fabric to prevent dangerous brush discharges. Type C is made with conductive threads and must be grounded during filling and emptying. Tell us your product and environment and we'll recommend the right type.

Ordering & pricing

What's your minimum order quantity?

It depends on the spec. Standard constructions can be quoted from pallet quantities, while fully custom or printed bags usually need a larger run. Tell us your annual usage and we'll find the most cost-effective order size.

How quickly can I get a quote?

Usually within one business day once we have your product, fill weight, dimensions, top and bottom style, loop style and quantity. The bag builder on our home page captures all of this in about 30 seconds.

Can I get a sample first?

Yes. We recommend testing a sample bag on your own filling line before placing a production order, especially for new or custom specs.

Do you offer custom printing?

Yes. We can print your logo, product details and handling instructions on 1 to 4 sides, in up to 4 colours.

Production & shipping

What's the typical lead time?

It depends on the spec and order size. Custom production orders typically take 8–10 weeks door to door, including production, freight and customs. We'll confirm a firm timeline with your quote.

Where do you ship?

We deliver across the United States and Canada, in pallet, full-truckload or container quantities.

Are food-grade bags available?

Yes. Food-grade bags are made in controlled conditions and can include form-fit or loose PE liners for sugar, flour, grains, seeds and food ingredients.

Can bulk bags be reused?

Only bags rated for multi-trip use (6:1 safety factor) should be reused, and only after inspection. Single-trip 5:1 bags are designed for one fill-and-discharge cycle.
